This is the Puppy Adoption Bureau, but it's Closed.

The kids have all gone on to their new homes to play and love and be loved.   Today is New Year's Day and it was a particularly warm one as the Calhouns took both Sable and Lance to join their family.   Lance and Sable have become best buddies, and Lance will need someone to torment him now that his Mom can't do it anymore.  Paul has already sent pictures of Bandit and his big sister, so I know he's doing well.

As always, Baron was very depressed to see the last of the kids leave home.  Also as always, I joined him, but this time it was especially difficult because Lance was kinda special to me.  I had earlier planned to keep him, but have sorta decided that I will let Brandy do it one more time and Lance is taking his love to a special place with Matthew.

This is the sadness of a happy time.  The kids brought lots of love, laughs and licks in the three months that they spent with us.  It is always sad to see them go, but always heartwarming to know that they have gone to good, loving homes.

(For more enjoyment, click on the pictures to see larger images.  Some of them are a slow load, but they're worth every second of it.  Use your Back button to return to this page.)

<-  .Dad and Mom   ->

<--   I think these two pictures provide a clue as to why we keep having puppies around here.  -->

<--  Their handsome Dad.  You can see why he is called Lord Baron  --->

<--  Their beautiful Mother.  -->

<---   Two "Family Photos."  Believe it or not, each of these pictures contains all nine family members.  They may be a little hard to count, but they're all there.  --->
<---   Enjoying a meal together

Telling Mom how much they appreciate her.  --->

<---   Affectionate little critters, and they like their Dad a lot.  --->

<---  Did I mention that they really like their Dad a lot?   --->

<--  This is Baby.  For a while, she was the second smallest, but she outgrew Sister Sable.  She and Jasmine are competing for the "Sweetest Puppy" award.  Right now it's a tie.  At their 10 week checkup, she weighed 5 pounds.

This is Joyce, Baby's new mom.  Baby will help Joyce with her work in her home office (Yeah, just like she helps me in the shop.)  Baby will be loved!   --->

<--  The Bandit.  Exuberant and all boy!  Always into something -- usually trouble.  He definitely has Mom's markings.   At their 10 week checkup, he weighed 5 pounds.

This is Paul, Bandit's new dad.  Bandit has gone to North Georgia.  He will be living with two kids and two other dogs -- one of whom is his older half-brother.  (Paul got another male from my daughter last year.  Her female is from Baron & Brandy)  -->

<--  Columbus, the wanderer.  Even as a little kid he was always exploring around the family room.  Now, when we take our walks out back, he is typically off by himself checking out something interesting.   At their 10 week checkup, he weighed 5 pounds.

Columbus has gone to a new home.  Taren, his new big sister is holding him, while Whitney and Paycon stand there grinning about it.  He is gonna get a lot of love in his new home.  -->

<--  IttyBitty, as her name suggests, she is the widdlest pup.  At their 10 week checkup, she weighed only 4 pounds, but she makes up for it in spirit.  She don't take nothin' from nobody!

This is Matt, IttyBitty's new dad.  She will bring her warmth and style to the home of Matt & his wife.  --->

<--  Jasmine, the other sweet one.  She is also very adventurous, as you can see by her jumping picture on page 6.   At their 10 week checkup, she weighed 5 pounds

Jasmine has gone to bring love and warmth to the home of Matthew and Nathan.  With these two boys, she will never be lonely and will have lots of her special cuddling time.-->

<--  Lance, the big guy.  He was the first born and the biggest then -- nothing has changed.   At their 10 week checkup, he weighed 6 1/4 pounds.  He will probably be at least as big as his Dad, maybe bigger.
This is Matthew, Lance's new big brother.  Lance was supposed to be posing for the picture, but looks like he was trying to help Matthew console Dad.  (It didn't work very well.)   Lance is taking Sable along with him so he will have a playmate his own size.  -->
<--   Sweet Sable, the second smallest of the bunch.  At their 10 week checkup, she weighed 4 1/2 pounds.  She, too, has her mother's markings.  Also adventurous and exuberant as the "Crazy Sister" picture on Page 6 shows.
These are the Calhouns, Jim & Susan, parents of Matthew above and his sister who couldn't make it today.  She will actually be Sable's new big sister, but this looks like a family affair to me.  Sable was really happy to be going with her brother, Lance.   --->
