<--  With seven kids in there, Brandy was having trouble trying just to be comfortable.

This was her favorite position in the last few days.  -->

<--  Mom is cleaning the first baby -- a big brown boy.

After a couple more, she takes a little rest and Dad checks out the kids.   -->

<--  All done and seven new kids are enjoying the sweet taste of Mother's milk.

Looks like the little brown boy is getting a hug from Mom.   -->

<--  As usual, Dad helps out by cleaning one of the kids while Mom feeds them.

I guess he just doesn't like crowds, huh?   -->

<--  Sneaking a little between meals snack while his siblings slumber.

Baron is such a good Daddy!   -->

<--  Dad is relaxing a litte while Mom feeds the kids.

Mom and Dad getting a little quiet time together, away from the kids.   -->

<--  Meal time -- again!

Ever wonder why some kids grow faster than their brothers and sisters?     -->

<--  What a beautiful Mother!

This little boy is going to be a good lookin' dog.  Dark sable color; even darker than Mom.   -->

<--  "Auntie Samantha" (actually, it's "Sister Samantha") gets her first chance to check out the kids.

Brutus figures if she can get by with, then so can he.   -->

<--  I can't tell if that little black kid is just sleeping up there, or if he is locked onto a nipple.

Once again, Dad helping out.   -->

October 4, 2003 -- The kids are a week old and these are their weights:
Big Brown Boy -- 11 oz.                        Sable Boy --      10 oz.
Black Girl #1  --     8 oz.                        Black Girl #2  --  7 oz.
Brown Girl --         8 oz.                        Sable Girl --         8 oz.
Black Boy  --         6 oz.   (This kid needs more groceries!)

<--  Think this kid may have an attitude problem?

Full bellies and a warm fire will getcha every time.   -->

Some sweet young ladies from the neighborhood came by to check out the puppies.  From left to right, they are:  Sophie, Layne and Eve.  Sophie and Layne were "naming" the pups for me.  Eve just sorta latched onto one of them for cuddling purposes.  (I made sure to check her pockets and count the puppies when they left.)
<--  Mom is serving dinner while Dad looks on proudly.

Until, of course, one of the kids needs cleaning up.  Dad is always there to help.   -->

October 11, 2003 -- The kids are 2 weeks old and these are their weights:
Big Brown Boy -- 1 lb, 2 oz.                        Sable Boy --       15 oz.
Black Girl #1  --         14 oz.                        Black Girl #2  --  10 oz.
Brown Girl --              11 oz.                        Sable Girl --        11 oz.
Black Boy  --              10 oz.   (He caught up with his sister)
<--  Uncle Brutus checks out one of the kids while Dad looks on.

Auntie Samantha cleans up one of the kids while they eat.   -->

<--  "This walking is neat stuff.  I can practice while nobody's lookin'."

He learns quickly, while brother looks on with an attitude.   -->

<--  "Hey, I can do this walkin' stuff, just like my brother."

"Ooops!  I think maybe I've gone too far."   -->

<--  "This is not as easy as it looks."

Dad gives sister a little "walking advice."   -->

<--  Look at the little kid on the left.  When the supper table is full, you just have to find another way.

And then go to sleep and dream of tasty things.   -->

<--  It's easier when the rest of the kids are still asleep.

Look at the little brown girl on the right.  I think she's really into it.   -->

Puppies attract kids like magnets attract iron filings.

<--  Hank looks like he's been caught trying to hide a puppy.

While Hale tries, unsuccessfully, to hide one under his hat.   -->

<--  Sally Ann is cuddling one kid while another rests in her lap.

While Eve cuddles Big Brown Brother   -->

(As always, I counted the puppies when they were ready to leave.)

<--  Dad is babysitting while Mom takes a nap in her chair.

Then the kids all wake up at the same time and start "running" around.  Looks like Dad is about to escape.   -->

<--  Dad has a conversation with the little black boy, while Sis decides to climb the cushion.

Mom comes to the rescue.  Look at the big picture, start on the right with the puppy tail, then see if you can find the rest of the kid.   -->

October 18, 2003 -- The kids are 3 weeks old and these are their weights:
Big Brown Boy -- 1 lb, 8 oz.                         Sable Boy --       1 lb, 3 oz.

Brown Girl --        1 lb, 3 oz.                        Sable Girl --         14 oz.
Black Boy  --             14 oz.

That's enough for this page.  We'll start again at Puppies2003, Page 3
They're "running" around now, so if we have some nice days next week, there will be some outside pictures.
Also, gotta start finding names for them.  That's easier when their personalities emerge.
